Billing

The money lands in your Stripe account, not in ours.

Weekly or monthly memberships billed automatically on a Stripe account you own. Bank debits at half the fee of a card. Receipts and GST tax invoices on every payment. Leave any time and take your payment history and saved payment methods with you.

What it does

Weekly billing on your own Stripe, in four parts.

01

A recurring dues engine

Weekly or monthly plans, intro offers like 5 for $55 or a 7 day free trial that roll into a membership, holds. Set the plan once and every member on it is billed on time.

02

Bank debits, not just cards

Members can pay from their bank account by BECS direct debit. Stripe charges 1% plus 30c capped at $3.50 a payment, against 1.7% plus 30c for a card. On a weekly debit that halves your fees. Fewer expired-card failures too.

03

Receipts and GST tax invoices

Every paid debit emails a receipt with a Stripe invoice PDF. Add your ABN once and every invoice carries the 10% GST line. Your accountant stops asking.

04

Your Stripe, your money

Each gym is its own Stripe connected account. Funds settle to your bank on Stripe's schedule. Disputes, history and saved payment methods are yours, and they go with you if you ever leave.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them are yours to remember.

  1. 1

    Connect Stripe

Ten minutes through Stripe's own onboarding. If you already have a Stripe account, connect that one.

  2. 2

    Set your plans

Name, price, weekly or monthly, what it entitles them to. Add intro offers if you run them.

  3. 3

    Members pay from the app

Card or bank account, saved once. From then on the debits run themselves.

Fees

A bank debit costs less than a card, and the difference stays with you.

Gym OS runs weekly debits through Stripe on your own account, and Stripe charges less for a bank debit than it does for a card.

Bank debit1% + 30cCapped at $3.50 a payment

On a $50 weekly debit, a card costs you $1.15 and a bank debit costs you $0.80. That is 35 cents back on every payment, which works out to about $1,820 a year in a 100-member gym.

Real collected revenue

The exit door is open

Because the Stripe account is yours, leaving does not mean re-collecting every member's card.

Questions

Things gym owners ask about this.

Do you take a cut?

Gym OS charges a flat platform fee of 1% on each payment on top of Stripe's rate. There is no fee on money you collect outside the app.

What about members already on a direct debit somewhere else?

Their existing debit keeps running until you move them, one at a time, from their profile. Nobody gets double billed.

Can I bill monthly instead of weekly?

Yes. Plans can be weekly or monthly, and you can run both.
